Scholarships, leadership training, mentorship and community for young women who will drive positive change — locally and internationally.
Our Mission
Women are underrepresented in leadership roles around the world — especially in regions where gender roles are deeply entrenched. Yet research consistently shows that women leaders prioritise education, healthcare and social welfare for their communities.
The Ching Tien Foundation for Women develops confident, globally minded leaders who return home equipped to drive positive change — for themselves, their families, and their societies.
"Educated women have educated children."
— Ching Tien, Founder

Our Legacy
The Ching Tien Foundation builds on the legacy of Educating Girls of Rural China (EGRC), founded in 2005.
EGRC operated as a grassroots Canadian charity in rural western China, supporting over 2,000 young women through high school and university with a graduation rate above 99%.
The Ching Tien Foundation for Women expands the mission globally — supporting young women from China and across Asia at top universities around the world.
In 2026, 158 EGRC alumni raised CAD $9,570 for the Foundation — a testament to the enduring circle of women supporting women.
